CHATEAU ROSSENOVO - THE WINE CELLAR

Chateau Rossenovo has about 1500 decares in the area of the villages Rossenovo and Gabar. Merlot prevails over the variety of grape-vine sorts with about 800 decares, Cabernet Sauvignon – 600 decares.

The vine plantations of the Rossenovo micro-region are located in the Southern part of the Eastern vine region. The varied relief, slope and exposure are characteristic for the region with an altitude of about 220-250 m. The sloped terrains provide good air drainage and reduce the risk of freezing and fungus diseases. Vintage in the region begins in the second half of September and ends in late October. Grape-gathering is made by hand and it is sort selected. Grapes arrive at the point of acceptance 20 minutes after picking. The maximum distance of the vineyards to the winery is about 3 km. The vines of Chateau Rossenovo have a variety of grape-vine sorts, appropriate for the terrain of the region and the technological production line for good-quality red wines.

The storage capacity is 1 450 000 liters stainless steel tanks with a volume of 4 to 38 tons. The  Chateau Rossenovo's wine cellar also has refrigeration chambers with a total volume 33 cubic meters, bottling vacuum-filling semi-automatic line with a capacity 1000 bottles/hour and an intermittent operation distillation unit.
